My dog has been able to travel to 4 countries thanks to Mariah’s training. I can bring her through airports, public beaches, and pet friendly restaurants with zero concerns. I have a well mannered, polite dog now. We have the freedom to experience new places and things together. You can’t put a price on that.

The origin story

Marvelous K9 Training is a dream collaboration between Professional trainers Mariah and Kirsti. Mariah has been running Constellation K9 Training in the Baltimore area for many years alone! When she met Kirsti at a dog training event 4 years ago they started training together casually. Then at the beginning of 2023 the two decided that working together was much better than working apart. Plus, with the need to travel constantly for modeling jobs it just made sense to have one trainer here in Maryland and another traveling. So, they created Marvelous K9 Training!

After consulting with a different trainer and unsuccessfully trying their rigid potty training method, we reached out to Mariah. Mariah was instantly easy to communicate with and does not force a one size fits all process on your dog.”

Kirsti’s Story

Kirsti’s story began with a passion for animals! She started as a horse trainer in Florida. Those who know dog training well will tell you much of dog training got its foundations from horse training. So, when Kirsti decided to transition to dog training she came with some amazing knowledge! If you can train and control an animal as large as a horse, then dogs are a breeze. Kirsti’s first and forever dog training passion is mushing/jorring with her Alaskan Malamutes. You can still find her riding around the C&O canal with a team of 9 dogs. When she isn’t training her own team of dogs, she is helping others train their own dogs in the hopes that they can do sports or whatever other fun things with them! Kirsti wants everyone to have the chance to work with their dogs doing something they both love just as she has done!

Absolutely thrilled with the dog training services! From the initial board and train for Leo to the continued support and training sessions, this trainer has exceeded all expectations. Leo’s behavior has transformed positively, and the personalized approach reflects their commitment to each furry client. A true gem for dog owners seeking outstanding training results!

Mariah’s Story

belgian malinois, working dog, woman working dog, mondioring, working belgian malinois, female dog handler, female dog trainer

Mariah is an Air Force veteran. She has been working with dogs for over nine years, starting as a part-time trainer during her active-duty military service.

She has since transitioned from the military to focus on dog training full time, running her own business since 2018.

Her initial area of expertise lay in training aggressive and reactive dogs, fostering rescue dogs, and rehabilitating dogs considered to be unadoptable. Since then, she has expanded her skillset to include advanced training and early puppy obedience. Mariah has sought out every opportunity to improve, both through attending out of state seminars and apprenticing with some of the best dog trainers in the country. She has studied in multiple disciplines, allowing her to tailor her methods to whichever is most appropriate and effective for the dog.

Mariah has worked extensively with and currently breeds dalmatians. The first dog she competed with ranked sixth in the country for obedience in 2018. She has thoroughly studied the health, genetics and body structure of dogs in an effort to both preserve and improve the breed.

She has often worked with local businesses, to include pet photographers, veterinarians, and dog walkers. She has found a love for participating in dog sports such as bike jorring, barn hunting, canicross, scent work, FASTCAT, French ring and Mandioring, weight pull, obedience, and conformation. Dogs that she has trained have also appeared in several ad campaigns, movies, TV shows and commercials for international companies.

Mariah is literally the best trainer in this area! Not only did she help train my Dalmatian, but I will carry the knowledge she taught me to continue the trained success with my dog Cardi.”
