Mariah Johnston

Mariah's journey into the world of dog training began as in 2016, while she was serving in the Air Force. During her time there she discovered her knack for working with dogs and decided to dive deeper into the world of canine companionship.

In 2018, Mariah decided to turn her passion into a full-fledged business. Thus, her first successful dog training venture, Constellation K9 Training, was born! Since then, she's been having a blast rehabilitating the "ruff" cases - like the overly enthusiastic jumpers and the nervous nellies - helping them to find their inner balance and joy.

Mariah's talents don't stop there! From teaching young puppies to be the perfect pet to turning regular pups into search-and-rescue heroes, she's always on the lookout for the next exciting challenge. And let's not forget the fun stuff—whether it's teaching your pooch to sniff out hidden treasures or strut their stuff on the runway, Mariah's got it covered.

Kirsti LaVoy

Mushing Instructor, Certified Therapy Dog Trainer, Certified Rally Instructor, Sport Dog Instructor, Certified CGC Evaluator

Kirsti has spent over 10 years mushing dogs, which sparked from a childhood love of the movie “Balto”. After college, she fulfilled her dream of building her own mushing team. Kirsti's team has become a well-respected presence in national racing competitions, showcasing the talents of her Alaskan Malamutes in various disciplines like Rally, Scent work, Obedience, Agility, Canicross, and mushing.

In 2018, Kirsti took the first steps toward becoming a dog trainer through an apprenticeship. Transitioning to full-time training in 2023, she co-founded Marvelous K9 Training alongside Mariah. Kirsti's story is a testament to the rewards of pursuing one's passions and the joy found in the bonds between humans and their loyal canine companions.
